I grew up very poor and really had no role model for success. But I refuse to let that stop me from being successful and achieving my goals. The Bible is my guide and firm foundation and in Proverbs 29:18, it says,”where there is no vision, the people perish.” I have a vision, and I believe that becoming a Medical Transcriptionist is an avenue by which I may travel to reach greater heights and gain the career I need to make the money to achieve my goals, thereby, accomplish my vision. I am determined to provide a great life for my children, as well as be a successful role model for them. They will not have to learn about success and having a great life, the hard way, as I had to. But I will be able to mentor them along the way, and point them in the right direction. Becoming a Medical Transcriptionist is only the beginning. I have such a high expectation for my future, and I know that becoming a Medical Transcriptionist will allow me the freedom I need to be able to be a stay at home mother and have a career that is satisfying as well as flexible.
I basically will have an opportunity to own my own business, and that is so exciting to me. I have 4 beautiful children who miss me terribly when I go to work in the evenings. I don’t get to read them their bedtime stories or tuck them in bed or pray with them before they go to sleep, and that is really sad to me. I don’t get to do these things because I work as a customer service representative in the evening and my schedule is not flexible. Being a Medical Transcriptionist will allow me to work from home, and set my own hours, giving me the freedom to be the mother my children need me to be. I will also not ever have to worry about being laid off because I will be my own boss. Job security is a huge issue nowadays with the economy the way that it is. SN:1MA0N2ESY
I know that medical transcription is a lucrative career that is always in demand and so I know my investment in educating myself and getting my medical transcriptionist degree is well worth it. It is an investment in me and my family. I can definitely see myself finishing my MT degree and starting my own work at home business, which will then lead to more income and more opportunities such as buying our first home, traveling, and just spending some much needed quality time with my children and my husband. I know my children will not say young forever and before I know it, they will be young adults moving out on their own. I don’t want to let the year’s just fly by without making some memories. I want my children to say that mom was always there for them, and they could count on me, that I put them first, and that I was a great example for them. Getting my MT is just the beginning of a great life for my family and me.
