If you are struggling in your Network Marketing Business you are not alone. In fact everyone in MLM has struggled before, even the top income earners. Instead of quitting, like the majority of new network Marketers, let me give you the MLM advice I was given a couple of years ago when I was struggling!
Stop being emotional! This is probably the number one reason that people quit this industry. We all are emotional when we first start our new Network Marketing business. When I started my MLM a few years ago, I saw how well my upline team was doing and it, of course, made me excited and ready to get there myself. Then, a few weeks into it, many realize that it is not a get rich quick scheme and it is more difficult then they expected. Frustration can set in and can take a toll on your emotions! Within a few months, most end up quitting because they feel that they have put their all into it and they should be further ahead, earning a lot of money, just like their upline told them they would.
My MLM advice: You really need to treat your business like a business. If you don’t get your sister to join, it is just another day at the office. If you enroll a good friend who enrolls ten people in the same day, it is another day at the office. In other words, if you treat your MLM business like a real business and just keep plugging along without tying your emotions to every outcome in your business, you will feel more even and peaceful.
Are you being realistic? Are you expecting to enroll two hundred people in your first week? Do you think you can spend five hours a week in your Network Marketing Business and expect to become a millionare? Can you enroll five people per month and earn $100,000 per year or more? If you are not realistic you may expect something totally different than you get. This leads to frustration and a big let down.
My MLM advice: Get real! If you are realistic about your business you will be able to keep your emotional in check. Realize that you will need to consistently enroll people to grow your Network Marketing business. You will need to enroll more than four people per month. Ten or more new personally enrolled would be more realistic if you would like to really turn your business into a big income stream. That means you will have to spend many more hours at this. You will need to really step it up and learn to hold in-home meetings. You will need to talk on the phone to people and really become a leader for those who you enroll and want to grow their own business. If you are real about what needs to be done to reach your goals you will be more successful!
Be a doer! Are you a hoper or a doer? Most people are hopers and hoping for what they want is as far as they get! Do you procrastinate and forget to follow up with people? Do you plug into others meetings and training but then do not work with the people in your own network marketing business to help them grow? Are your MLM events just a way to be social for you? You HAVE TO be a doer in this industry or you shouldn’t even be in it!
My MLM advice: Work your tail off and build your team fast! Get out there and talk to people. Learn how to put an in-home presentation together, how to market your business online and offline and follow up with everyone! Treat your business like a real business by training your down-line, starting a motivational weekly phone call for your team and holding regular business meetings with your team to help cultivate your business builders! When you put the time and hard work into building your Network Marketing business fast you will notice that momentum starts to build very quickly. Your team will start to get excited when they see the rate at which you are growing and they will get motivated to do the same. You will be come a better leader by being a great example of success for them.
If you find yourself struggling in your Network Marketing business, don’t just get frustrated and quit. I challenge you to change things around. Stop being emotional, get real and start to work harder. Educated yourself, plug in to trainings if they help you not just to be social, and help train and coach your team to success. I am proof that ANYONE can make it in this wonderful business. I also believe and have seen first hand that ANYONE can turn a struggling MLM around quickly with this advice!
