Choosing a home business online can be a bit of a jungle. There are so many different opportunities out there it’s easy to get overwhelmed, plus the fact that there are scams out there and un-ethical people wanting to make a quick buck. It can get tricky!
There is certainly money to be made in this industry as there are lots of folks making full time income and more. It is important though that you know what you are doing and are willing to put in the effort required.
I have mostly dealt with the MLM business model and also direct sales. There are also affiliate marketing models, where you just sell someone else’s product and earn a commission one time.
With an MLM business you will be developing a team of distributors under you. You will earn a commission for the sales that they make. The MLM business system is very effective and if you are successful in building a large team then you will have residual or passive income coming in month after month without doing any work. I would recommend you consider this business model.
With a top tier business you will earn large commissions on the front end when you make a sale of the product or service, normally there is not much potential for creating passive wealth as you often just get paid on your teams efforts one level deep. High ticket (expensive) top tier programmes can be very profitable, you will usually experience lower conversion rates because of the usually high buy in cost. Of course higher profits has its advantages, you have a much better margin of profit and will probably be able to invest more into promotional activity.
If your selling a 200 dollar product and sell 5 of them from $500 worth of advertising then you will double your money, but just imagine if you earn $2000 from each sale, a much better profit margin.
Checking the scam forums is always a good way to check out any company you are considering, see if there is any bad press. 99% of the time you will need to find a sponsor, someone you will join under; you need to pick wisely. sadly the truth is that there are many sponsors out there that promise the earth in support and training, but don’t deliver. After you have paid your money to join you may find that they become a little less willing to help you out!
So my advice would be to check out anyone you consider partnering with and please make sure you at least speak to them on the phone, before paying out any money.
When researching the company see how long they have been trading for. First mover advantage can be massive and put you at the top of the chain, but you also need to consider if the products will be in demand and stick around for a few years to come, or will it be a flash in the pan. I’ve found it’s usually easier to sign more people up to a new company than one that’s been around for a long time. When looking at any business I like to look at the products and consider if there is a market for them, also I ask myself if the products would still be bought even if there was not a network marketing compensation plan attached to them.
Whatever the business that you look at and sign up with, there are several concepts that you must be aware of, miss one out and is could be devastating to you future prosperity.
