Here’s a new article from the partner of a top firm of Southend-On-Sea accountants…
There’s a well-known saying that says, “you can’t be all things to all men…”
And when it comes to marketing your business never was this old chestnut more true. You see, you can’t hope to market your goods and services to everyone whether or not everyone needs them.
Now I don’t say you cannot be successful doing this. But the actuality is this If you’d like to market to everyone you need lots and plenty of ‘dinero ‘!
Serving a mass market is not a cheap move to make. It takes real muscle and a ton of selling experience.
So what’s the answer?
The answer lies in what we call ‘niches’.
These are groups of folk that benefit THE MOST from what you do. I’ll say that again THESE ARE The People That BENEFIT MOST FROM WHAT YOU DO! Selecting a niche is a key component of any successful marketing strategy or campaign.
By concentrating on several niches you will connect with these folk at a much higher level, and hence mechanically gain more business. I am sure you have heard folk say stuff like, “This person actually gets me, and they understand my business.” This is the reaction you want when people see your marketing!
Think about it…
It is clear that certain groups of people or businesses are probably going to desire and need your products and services more than any others. More importantly your niche must focus on the groups who can AFFORD your products. As an example, there is not any point in targeting groups who want and need your goods if most of them can’t afford to purchase or pay for them!
Don’t be like everyone else. Find your niche and go for it!
