There is an abundance of training all over the internet: training from your uplines, crosslines, and probably even your downlines! Getting training from these MLM people, and actually going through a training that works are two different things.
I did a lot of things that didn’t work when I first started out in network marketing. Most of my upline told me to pick someone successful in the company, and do what they did, and I would soon be successful, and reach the same level of success as they did. My network marketing success was guaranteed using this method.
This did actually work out the way I was told it would. Take this for example; Go buy some Microsoft stock, for example. I sure hope that you don’t think that you will get the same return on investment that the original investors did. Not going to happen. Investing in companies today is very different than it was 27 years ago – and the same theory applies to your MLM business, and the advice you are getting on how to build your business.
The rules of the game have changed since your upline first joined, different regulations, and methods of connecting with people have exploded the possibilities you have at your fingertips to become successful. Let me share a few key concepts on training that will help you produce results:
1. Back in the 60′s and 70′s, giant MLM downlines could be built off the efforts of enrolling 30-40 frontline distributors. This model isn’t very effective nowadays, and even worse, the majority of network marketers aren’t building their downlines with enough distributors to be sustainable. Your focus will need to be on leveraging your business to allow you to take the time you would normally spend on a ‘traditional’ enrollment, and instead, take that time to enroll 30-40 people.
2. Technology training will allow you to leverage your business, so get trained properly. Let me put this in perspective; Which approach do you think would leverage your time and efforts more efficiently? Scenario 1 – You start visiting your favorite hangouts, restaurants, and stores, talking to 1 to 2 people at a time. Scenario 2 – Market to hundreds of targeted leads, who have been looking for the business you are offering them? Scenario 2 is my pick.
3. Proper training on social media will allow you to generate tons of online leads. Social networks, traffic generation, and lead generation is the future. It is your job to understand them. Just as PPC (pay per click) built fortunes in the early 2000′s, social networks has quickly and quietly over taken most marketing venues. Believe me, I have heard all of the dangers of marketing online from my sponsors before. AOL was once THE way to browse the Internet. It was great at what it did… but other methods of going online came about, and AOL didn’t last long. Just because your upline told you to use old techniques and training’s, doesn’t mean you need to follow their guidance.
4. You can always choose your mentor, and it doesn’t always need to be your upline. Actively search out a mentor who is getting the results you want for yourself! Do not limit yourself to the same techniques and strategies that may be outdated, and worse, frustrate you and give you no results! If your upline had to start all over, would they be able to rebuild their downline in today’s market? No? If you are unsure, or your answer is no, take immediate action and go find a mentor you is actively building their business, using success principles in the market today.
5.STAY CONSISTENT! I have been where you are my friend, but quitting is not the answer. To guarantee your network marketing success, you MUST stay consistent. Consistency everyday, over time, will build into a snowball rolling downhill. Once you get it rolling, it cannot be stopped. Stay consistent, watch for the wave, and hold on tight!!
